Trim Road (Northbound) Closure 2-16 May 2011

This is to confirm the dates for the closure of Trim Rd. – Innes to Valin. The closure will commence on Monday, May 2. This closure will be in place until Monday, May 16. The Traffic Branch requires this three week notice to set up the detours and signage, but the PVMS boards don’t go out on the street until one week before the closure. They are scheduled to turn on the PVMS boards April 26.

Included in the widening project for Trim Rd. (Innes to BHBPE) is 100 m of storm sewer just north of Innes Rd. This storm sewer is in the middle of the north-bound lanes and although we believed it could be done without closing both north-bound lanes, our Contractor is telling us it cannot. We have had our City Inspector take a look at their plan and he agrees with their assessment, that they will require both north-bound lanes to perform the work. The result is that Trim Rd. north-bound (north of Innes) will have to be closed for a three week period. The south-bound lanes will not be affected.
