The website was down
for a while due to problems with Magma, but it is now back on line. Thank you

Chair of the Canada Day Committee. |

Elections of Class A
Directors |
David indicated that nominations had
closed the week before. There are four positions available, and four
nominations in total, therefore they are acclaimed. They are Zybina Richards,
Ted Macias, Don Pottier, and Brenda Spearman. They will meet and appoint
their positions. |
|
Other |
David expressed some concern regarding the
new ice surfaces. Doug Cross from AACP representing the ice surfaces and
athletic complex at Cairine Wilson, did not get on the short list. Fred
indicated the City had determined that they could afford 2 ice surfaces. The
Plan Doug Cross proposed, was beyond the scope of the City. |
|
Councillor Kreling |
·
Some tax shift
will occur for homeowners. ·
Negotiations are
ongoing with Serco and the two ice surfaces. Traffic and parking issues still
need to be addressed. One public meeting will be part of the 3P process. |
|
Councillor McNeely |
·
The ward is
addressing the West Nile issue. Grass needs to be kept down and ditches
cleared. ·
There will be a
sand turning event at Petrie in the near future. ·
There will be a
connection of roads around Innes and Blair to Walkley. This improvement to
East to West traffic could help some congestion with the split. |
