Appointment of
Class B Directors – Don Pottier
The October 30th meeting was called to order by Don
Pottier. He advised everyone present
that a Special meeting was held before the start of October 30th
meeting and the following FCA Directors were voted and agreed by Class A
Directors Don Pottier and Zybina Richards.
The Directors are – George Blake, Marc Cappelli, Lynne Hamelin, Jocelyn
Holmes, Debbie Parent, Paul Pelletier, Don Pottier, Zybina Richards, Brenda
Spearman, David villeneuve and Ron

Treasurer: |
This
report was focused on Canada Day 2000.
Due to reduced expenses, we closed with a $5000 operating
revenue. Don motioned for this report
to be accepted as presented, seconded by Dave and carried. |

4th Orleans Scouting Group |
Mr.
John Cloutier, of the 4th Orleans Scouting Group was once more (15th
time) seeking Sponsorship from the FCA.
He was pleased to report that registration was up 3% from last
year. They are consolidating groups
to save on money. They are operating
with the same executives as last year.
He also offered the usage of compasses and maps to the Girl Guides of
Orleans. George motioned that the FCA
once more sponsor the 4th Orleans Scouting Group, seconded by Dave
and carried. |

Canada Day |
Despite the one factor we cannot control – the weather – it was
another successful year. There were
concerns from the Concession stands that because of the weather they were not
making any money. |

Newsletter |
4 page Edition dedicated to All Candidates (Mayor and Councillors)
will be delivered in Ad Bags Friday, November 3rd. Residents of South Fallingbrook are also included in the distribution. Extra copies were printed and will be
handed out at the All Candidates meetings.
Production cost approximately $800.00. |

Petrie Island |
Friends of Petrie Island had a very successful year. They have received great support from the
Cumberland City Council. |

Rec. Committee |
The official opening of the Sports Park is scheduled for November 5th
at 2:00pm. Dave added that some of the Nature Trails were not being maintained
and a letter was sent to Ken Connelly. |

Outdoor Rinks |
The Rink Agreements were forwarded to David Villeneuve. |

Web Site |
Dave to discuss updating the FCA website. |

QHCA |
They have looked into upgrading the Community Centre with wheelchair
facilities but they lack the funds to proceed. Crime in the Queenswood Heights area was up during the summer. The Association’s Kids Xmas party will be on December 16th. The Association has written a letter to the Manager of Food Basic grocery store requesting that
they make some of the bag dispensers in the produce section
wheelchair accessible. It was agreed
that the FCA will write a letter in support. |
